Arete Nato
Barkerhill’s Arete line of Nato straps are charming, single-pass nylon watch straps characterized by their distinctive W-shaped weave or otherwise known as the Herringbone pattern. This pattern offers texture and depth to the strap without being overwhelming.
Excellent Weaving Technique
The Herringbone weave is an excellent weaving method that provides an incomparable richness in texture and comfort. This method of weaving was commonly used to manufacture military fatigues for many countries during and after WWI due to its durability, comfort and ability to better dissipate heat. Apart from functionality, this pattern also adds structure and dimension to the strap even in low light settings.
Quality Materials
At Barkerhill we strive to provide our customers with exceptional and quality products. As such, all our Nato straps are woven with a high thread count and high quality nylon. In addition, every strap features high quality 304 stainless steel hardware. Our laser-etched keepers and buckles are corrosion-resistant and feature a professional brushed finish that serves as a contrast against the strap's innate sheen. Care has been taken to bevel and chamfer the steel's edges to create a balanced modern silhouette.
Exceptional Comfort
All our watch straps are designed with comfort as a priority, and the Arete NATO straps are no exception. The excellent weaving technique and high quality nylon results in an exceptional strap that rests comfortably on the wrist. Additionally, the strap's edges are woven sealed instead of melted and cut. This is done to ensure that there are no rough edges on the strap that would irritate the wearer's skin.
Pairing Suggestion
The Khaki Sahara Nato straps pair exceptionally well with any military styled watches. The colour on the straps also accentuates the patina that can be found on vintage watches. The strap is therefore highly recommended with any vintage Rolexes, Omegas and Blancpains.

The straps are 260mm (length) x 2mm (thickness) and come in either 20mm or 22mm (Width).
